1. Definitions and scope
Bay888 Sportsbook terms define the following key concepts: Bay888 is the Sportsbook offering markets and odds. A player is an account holder who places bets. A contract is created when a bet is accepted and the stake is transferred. A market is a specific betting option available on an event. An outcome is the final result that determines the bet’s settlement. Winning odds multiply the stake to produce the payout. The result is the officially announced outcome used for settlement. All bets are subject to these rules unless expressly stated otherwise on a market description or in writing from Bay888.
2. Bet placement and acceptance
- Bet validity: A bet becomes valid only after it is accepted by Bay888. If a bet is not accepted, the stake is immediately available for reuse or withdrawal subject to account status.
- Odds and acceptance: If the odds change before you place a bet, you may accept the changed odds or cancel the bet. You may opt to enable an automatic acceptance of odds changes; in that case the bet is placed immediately without further confirmation.
- Pre-match and live bets: Pre-match bets are accepted before an event starts; live bets are accepted during an event on markets not yet determined. Bets placed after an event starts are subject to the live rules and time of acceptance.
- Invalid or incorrect bets: If a bet is placed in error due to a system or data issue, Bay888 may cancel the bet and refund the stake. If a bet is accepted while the event data is clearly incorrect, Bay888 may correct or void the bet as permitted by these rules.
- Multiple accounts and integrity: It is prohibited to operate multiple accounts or to place bets in bad faith that exploit system rules. Bay888 may suspend or close accounts suspected of fraud, and may void related bets.
3. Settlement, postponement, and disruption
- General settlement: Bets are settled according to the official result announced for the market. If the result is not determined at the time of settlement, Bay888 may settle the market as described in the market description or declare it void and refund the stake.
- Postponed or abandoned events: If an event is postponed or abandoned, Bay888 reserves the right to determine settlement based on the official result if the event is not resumed within 48 hours. If the event resumes and completes, settlements will follow the resumed result where applicable. In multi-leg events, markets tied to postponed legs are voided as specified by the market description; other markets may stand.
- Overtime and tiebreakers: Markets that include overtime or penalties will be settled as described in the market description. If not clearly stated, overtime outcomes may be excluded from certain settlements.
- Palpable error and corrections: If a market or odds are entered incorrectly, Bay888 may cancel or correct the affected bets. If a bet has already been settled, Bay888 may adjust settlements if the error is discovered prior to completion of the relevant timeframe.
- VAR and reference decisions: If a decision by a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) conflicts with the on-pitch call, bets made between the occurrence and the final decision may be voided, unless the odds were unaffected and original settlement would be unchanged by the VAR outcome.
- Timing of settlements: The maximum period between initial settlement and any re-settlement is 30 days.
4. Live betting rules
- Real-time odds: Live market odds update continuously to reflect the match state; odds may move up or down between selection and acceptance, affecting potential winnings.
- Live outcomes: Bets on markets determined during live play are settled as soon as the outcome is clearly established. Bets on athletes not taking part in the match are generally invalid unless stated otherwise.
- Interruption and incompleteness: If a match is interrupted or does not finish within a 24-hour period, settled bets remain; unsettled markets may be voided at odds of 1.00 and the stake refunded where outcomes are not unambiguous.
- 24-hour claims window: Claims relating to live bets must be submitted within 24 hours after the start of the event in question.
5. Bet types and structures
- Single Bet: A wager on a single market outcome; payout equals stake multiplied by the market’s winning odds.
- Accumulator (Parlay): A wager on multiple independent events; all selections must win for the accumulator to pay. Total odds equal the product of individual odds, rounded to two decimals; payout equals total odds times the stake.
- System Bet: A collection of multiple accumulators sharing a fixed set of selections. Winnings are the sum of successful accumulators; all stake allocations are defined at bet placement.
- Conditional Bet: A sequence of standard bets where only the first bet is funded upfront; subsequent bets in the sequence are funded from winnings of the preceding bet. If the principal bet loses, all subsequent bets are voided.
6. Scorers, player markets, and related rules
- First/Last/Anytime Scorer: Applies to regular time unless market specifies otherwise. Own goals may be excluded unless explicitly included; if a first goal is an own goal, settlement is based on the next scorer as defined by the market rules.
- Player-based markets: Bets on players apply to the time the player participates in the match; if a player does not participate, the market may be void or settled as described in the market description.
- Team and event exclusions: In certain cases, substitutions, injuries, or other events may affect player-based markets in line with the official event results and market terms.
7. Outrights and play-or-pay principle
- Outright markets: These are long- or short-term markets settled at the season or competition level. Bay888 applies a Play-or-Pay rule where participants listed in an Outright market remain in the market and settle as lost if they are unable to participate for any reason, subject to the terms of the market. Head-to-head (H2H) markets are excluded from this rule; individual performance markets may be void if the participant is replaced and the market description indicates such a result.
- Errors and adjustments: If a listed participant is replaced, team markets may stand while individual performance markets may be void.
8. Cashout and bet control features
- Cashout availability: Cashout may be offered on eligible markets; it is governed by Bay888’s current policy and may be withdrawn without notice. If cashout is applied to ineligible markets, the bet may be canceled and recalculated to the official result.
- Auto-cashout and changes: Cashout values are determined automatically by the system and may change if event conditions change.
9. Stakes, limits, and account controls
- Minimum and maximum stakes: Bay888 defines minimum and maximum stake levels per market and bet type; these limits may change without prior notice.
- Limits and anti-collusion: Bay888 may impose or remove limits on single events or bet types and may restrict multiple bet placements on the same outcome by the same user or group to prevent irregular wagering patterns.
10. Data, accuracy, and changes to the rules
- Data accuracy: Bay888 makes reasonable efforts to ensure information is correct but is not liable for errors in event data, odds, or results. Bay888 reserves the right to correct obvious errors by adjusting settlements or refunds as appropriate.
- Rule changes: Bay888 may update these rules at any time. New rules apply to bets placed after publication; bets placed before publication remain governed by the rules in force at the time of their placement.
- Governing process: In the event of a dispute or ambiguity, Bay888 will decide in accordance with fairness principles and applicable regulations, based on official sources and evidence available at the time.
11. Identity, security, and integrity
- Age verification: Users must be of legal betting age as determined by the jurisdiction of residence. Bay888 may require documentary proof of age and may restrict or suspend access if proof is not provided promptly.
- KYC and funds origin: Bay888 may require identity verification and source of funds checks. The account may be suspended pending verification. Withdrawals may be blocked until verification is complete.
- Fraud and account integrity: Bay888 may suspend, cancel bets, or close accounts if fraud, collusion, or other integrity concerns are detected or suspected.
12. Customer support and dispute handling
Any disputes regarding bet results, settlement, or account activity should be raised within 30 days of the event end. Bay888 will investigate and respond in accordance with regulatory obligations and its internal processes. All determinations by Bay888 are final unless a regulatory body directs otherwise.
